Ben Pilchard started Academy two decades ago, with a single philosophy. Provide a simple alternative to the traditional architect and general contractor approach to home design and construction services. “Listening to my clients is the single most valuable thing I can do in the initial phase of design” “I want to take there thoughts and dreams and bring them to life in a unique design fit for their lifestyle and budget”.
Ben graduated top in his class from Temple University receiving a Bachelor of Architecture. The A.I.A recognized him the with Scholastic Award of Merritt. His work has been published in local and national periodicals and exhibited in the Art Institute of Chicago. He has been in the design and building industry for nearly three decades.
With nearly three decades of industry experience behind him, Ben has grown Academy from a single home renovation, to a multi-million dollar design and contracting firm in the new millennium. Focusing our effort in Fairfield and Litchfield Counties, we manage multiple projects simultaneously ranging from speculation and custom homes to additions and full renovations. Whether it be an antique or a modern home, continued attention to superior design, quality detail and professional construction service has made Academy a leader in the industry.
